Dave Celone, proletariat poet, visual poet, writer, and translator of the early, unpublished poems of Václav Havel from Czech into English, worked in higher education development and alumni relations for seventeen years at Dartmouth College, The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and Vermont Law School. He holds a law degree from Vermont Law School and has practiced law in Vermont and Connecticut. He also holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Celone grew up in the seaside hamlet of New Haven, Connecticut. He’s lived in the Upper Valley region of NH/VT since 1989. He currently resides in Lyme, NH, where he writes, enjoys the outdoors, cooks the best wood-fired pizza in the galaxy, and helps local causes and organizations in myriad ways. Dave and his wife oversee Long River Gallery & Gifts in Lyme, a fine art gallery and gift shop representing works of more than 150 of the most wonderful and talented fine artists and artisan craftspeople who live and create their work locally and sell globally. Dave is also principal of Advancement Consulting Services, advising educational institutions large and small, world-wide to achieve new high-water marks with their fundraising, alumnae/i relations, and career services goals with time-honored methods and creative programs that excite.
