Ellen Parent is from Danby, and her home is Vermont. Her writing explores the geography, history, and culture of life in Vermont. She is also interested in sci-fi television and watercolor painting. She teaches in the Northeast Kingdom and lives in Montpelier. Her poetry has appeared in Vermont Magazine, Birchsong: Vol II, the Best of Burlington Writers Workshop Anthology, Blueline, and others.
